Notes for Thomas MANLEY, JR.
Due to the shifting in the boundries during colonial times and the lack of soild, verified documantation, it is unclear as to which of the colonial states Thomas and his 2 sisters resided in after marriage.
The strongest indication would be from Prof. Louise Manly, who states they were in Maryland, but did they remain there? Were they in an area that saw the boundries change? Is it possible that one or more of them were actually in VA when Thomas moved with Basil & the 4 unmarried daughters to NC?
Louise Manly states that Thomas and his wife (unknown) had one son who served in the US Navy. Due to the time frame, this unknown son would have had to served in the Navy during the American Revolution.
